We'll meet at the Estes Park Visitors Center parking lot, please be standing by the flag poles, at 500 Big Thompson Ave, Estes Park (across the street from McDonalds and the Stanley Village strip mall).

My vehicle is an unmarked dark Forest Green Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2013. I will be parked at the location described above at the set time. Please be standing outside ready and wave when you see me.

Please now have each member of your party read this email, visit the website, and complete the online waiver form found here: http://www.ywguiding.com/Waiverform.html

In the summer time be prepared for temps between 30-70 degrees F, yes 30! Don't wear shorts, and always bring a jacket. Having some rain gear if you are hiking is a good idea as well. Also be sure to drink plenty of water both in the days before your trip to Colorado and while you are here (4 bottles a day), and eat breakfast to prevent altitude sickness for a morning tour, or an early dinner before the tour for an evening trip. Bring along water and a snack, we will have extra water and granola bars for you as well.

Payment is due at the end of the tour, cash or check.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Also be sure to drink plenty of water, 4-5 bottles a day, both in the days before your trip to Colorado and during, and eat breakfast to prevent altitude sickness for a morning tour, or an early dinner before the tour for an evening trip. In the winter time be prepared for temps between -15 to 40 degrees F. Layers are your friend, and avoid cotton socks and jeans in the snow as they soak up water and do not dry. If we're snowshoeing ankle high warm waterproof boots are recommended. Also be sure to drink plenty of water, 4-5 bottles a day, both in the days before your trip to Colorado and during, and eat breakfast to prevent altitude sickness. Bring along water and a snack.

Also your homework is to watch my online photo training videos found here: http://www.ywguiding.com/photo_training_instructional_videos.html

Please do not be late. Even starting 3-5 minutes late some mornings might mean the difference between great shots and missing the best color of sunrise or missing wildlife. Be at our meeting spot a minute or two before our set time. We'll be there to pick you up at exactly that time.

If we're doing landscape photography I would highly recommend purchasing a rectangular resin (NOT CIRCULAR screw on) Graduated Neutral Density Filter (GND) with a soft edge in a strength of 3 or 4 stops. Hitech is the brand I recommend and I get mine from BHPhoto.com for $35, search "Hitech gnd 1.2 soft 85 100." Generally it is best to handhold this rectangle filter as most holders vignette, causing darkened edges. I have these filters for clients to use but you will want your own when shooting the rest of your trip and for nearly all landscape shots with bright skies and shadowed foregrounds.
